With my art, I’m often trying to paint not just a picture, but a mood and a memory. I’ve found over the years that these summer paintings are just as much about our relationship with the Earth as they are with each other.
While painting this collection, I kept returning to the thought of a quilt - or more fittingly, a familiar beach towel. Warm, nostalgic, familiar, safe. You know that feeling when you pull a beach towel, or even favorite book pages, close to your face and take a deep inhale? That familiar scent of summers past? My hope is that these paintings evoke a similar feeling, that my gestural marks somehow encapsulate how we live in the summer
WHAT TO EXPECT:
All paintings are on wood panel. The 18x24 paintings have the option to be framed, but not the larger sizes. Exact details and dimensions of each piece will be available in the listing. They will be signed on the front and ready to hang.

ART FOR THE HOME
These beach inspired paintings are an easy fit for your lake house or cabin, but the modern marks and perspectives give them the versatility to freshen up a variety of spaces and seasons. I hope you find yourself and loved ones within these pieces. I look forward to seeing the homes they end up living in!
